We have already reached our quota of participants for this research. Thank you for your interest in our research.
The University of Southampton would like to invite you to read six short stories – all between 1000 and 5000 words (a total of 15,500 words). They are all fiction in a variety of genres but all with a theme of cleaning. We’d like to see which stories you enjoy most and if/how they affect your own beliefs, intentions and practices related to cleaning.
How do I participate?
Click on the link above to be taken to a short survey about current cleaning practices.
We will then send you the six short stories in a format that you can read on your phone/PC or eReader (e.g. Kindle). At the end of the document, there is a link to a second survey to indicate which stories you liked and how they affected your beliefs/intentions.
Two weeks later we will send a final short survey to ask about any change in practices and then we will send you a £30 shopping voucher.
Results will be collected, anonymised and written up as an academic journal paper.
